US cuts all funding to UNRWA
Earlier this week, the U.S. Administration decided to halt all funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). UNRWA is the largest international body that provides humanitarian assistance to Palestinians throughout the Middle East.
Cuts like these will severely impact the lives of Palestinians across the Middle East, putting many of UNRWA’s critical services in jeopardy.
Moving forward, this makes UPA’s work all the more crucial and needed.
Together, we can continue to provide the most immediate needs for Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza and in the refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon, including support for schools, healthcare, and job creation.
Whether it is through our Primary Care Clinics support initiative, our Emergency Relief Fund, our Children’s Fund, Small Business Development Program, or Educational programs and initiatives, we can show Palestinians that they have not been forsaken by the American people.
We are monitoring how the lack of UNRWA funding will affect the lives of Palestinians and we are ready to act. This work would not be possible without you, our supporters. For the past 40 years, UPA has responded to the ongoing emergency needs of the Palestinian people. We look to you so that we may continue to cultivate hope and livelihood during times of crisis and hardship.
Please consider giving to UPA to show Palestinians that they are not forgotten.
