Gaza The Untold Stories 2: Najwa

Najwa, a single mother living in Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip struggles to support five children. An injury due to recent violence rendered her immobile and incapable of working.

“This year was very difficult. Our situation is getting worse every day.”

Najwa said to UPA

Through a UPA food security initiative, Najwa and her family received food vouchers providing them support for one month. The need for immediate action to combat food insecurity is urgent. The humanitarian crisis continues to be catastrophic.

Najwa’s story and thousands like hers continue to be untold. 1.8 million Palestinians are currently suffering from food insecurity and over 50% are deprived of essential nutrients.

Today, I ask you to honor the lives of the people whose stories remain untold by making a gift to support UPA’s mission.

Your gift will make a difference in the lives of more people like Najwa.
