All is not lost…
Sustainable income, dignified healthcare, and food security are the cornerstones of all functional societies and every individual’s material aspiration. Yet today in Palestine and many Palestinian refugee camps, these basic rights are all under threat.
Because of Israel’s brutal and inhumane blockade of Gaza, youth with college and vocational school degrees are idle, and parents struggle to sustain their families. Fishermen are hanging up their nets and abandoning an ancient way of life. Because resources are scarce and settler attacks are on the rise, farmers in the West Bank are selling the land that has been in their families for generations and deserting farming.
I have traveled throughout Palestine and have bore witness to all of this – the desperation in Gaza and the decimation of the Palestinian agricultural sector in the West Bank.
I have also bore witness to my people’s boundless resourcefulness and resilience “sumood” in the face of adversity, and the significant change generous individuals like you can make. Because of what I have seen, I know all is not lost.
Please join us once more to renew the hope and preserve the dignity of our Palestinian brothers and sisters. Donate to UPA today and end the year by making an impact on Palestinian lives.
Sincerely Yours,
