Help Palestinian Students pursue their passions
Ibrahim is a lively young man with a passion for the arts. He is studying film production at Dar Al Kalima University in the West Bank, and he is enthused about his field of study.
“Cinematography is a world that can constantly be explored. It’s endless,” he says. “All the parts of filmmaking are wonderful.”
Ibrahim was able to pursue his passion with a scholarship from UPA’s Mahmoud Darwish Scholarship Fund. He notes the importance of having someone standing by him and supporting him in his journey.
“The scholarship helps you and takes a weight off your back. You keep moving forward with someone standing beside you.”
Ibrahim feels very privileged to be able to study film production, as his university is one of the few in Palestine that offer it as a major, and studying abroad is much too expensive.
With his scholarship, Ibrahim can pursue his passion and become the filmmaker he wanted to be.
