Palestinian-American Organizations Support UPA Campaign for Lebanon
UPA’s “Lebanon: Mitigating Collapse” continues to provide urgently needed relief in Lebanon.
The campaign has earned the support of donors from around the world and several Palestinian-American organizations and networks.
A host of Palestinian-American organizations and networks announced they will bolster UPA’s work in Lebanon by raising funds and gathering necessary resources to address the ongoing needs because of persistent crises in the country.
This support is a testament to UPA’s trusted experience and ability to act successfully during times of crisis. Since 1982, when UPA responded to the Sabra and Shatila Massacres, we continued to build local partnerships that enable us to implement humanitarian interventions and facilitate logistical support throughout Lebanon effectively and efficiently.
“UPA has been operating in Lebanon since 1982, has well established logistical and distribution support, and can get items where they need to go, in the best way possible,” said a joint statement by the organizations.
These organizations are the American Federation of Ramallah Palestine; ARFHSN, Human Services Network, Medical Mission; PAC – San Francisco (Ramallah Club of SF, Birzeit Society, Bethlehem Association, Jifna Association, Deir Dibwan Association, Beit Hanina Association, Palestine Youth Movement – PYM, Zaytoon Club, Saris Association); Birzeit Association from across the U.S.; Hanan Refugee Relief; US Palestinian Council; and the Coalition of Palestinian American Organizations.
The UPA family is humbled by the trust of our community and honored to be the bearers of their solidarity with Lebanon.
