Palestinian Doctors attend conference in Jordan
As part of UPA’s Continuing Education initiatives, ten Palestinian doctors attended a pathology conference in Jordan last week. The Palestinian pathologists came to observe and learn from medical professionals from around the world.
The conference entitled, “XXXII Congress of the International Academy of Pathology,” is an opportunity for pathologists to update their knowledge on all aspects of diagnostic and molecular pathology.
The sponsored pathologists traveled from cities such as Jenin, Nablus, Bethlehem, and Hebron to name a few. “This conference will allow us to build a network with other pathologists, “said Hanood Abu Rass, a conference participant from Nablus.
Hanood also said that the networking opportunities allowed pathologists to share information and research on difficult cases. Pathologists heard from keynote lecturers and participated in various sessions to help improve the quality of care for their patients.
“This conference will help us make a better diagnosis which will also allow is to give more proper treatments to our patients,” said Aqel Mohammad, a conference participant from Hebron.
UPA was proud to sponsor these doctors, whose enhanced specialties will not only benefit the Palestinian medical communities that they serve but will also improve the overall quality of care for Palestinians.
