World Youth Skills Day 2019

In 2015, UPA launched the Small Business Development program to help the growing rate of unemployed youth in Gaza. Then, Palestinians like Ahmed received vendor carts and loans to jump-start their businesses. He quickly upgraded his cart with the use of a second cart. Ahmed sells hot drinks and small bites to taxi drivers in Gaza.

UPA continues to provide aspiring and existing business owners with the resources they need to care for their families and to give back to their communities.  Our transformative work could not be done without donors like you. Ahmed was able to provide the necessities for his growing family in Gaza.

“Selling hot drinks in the street is not an easy job, and it requires a lot of patience, but I didn’t imagine it would go so well,” said Ahmed. You can continue the needed resources and opportunities for young business owners like Ahmed. Support the Small Business Development program today.
