UPA’s 40^th Anniversary Banquet, “A Celebration of Life and Hope,” is less than a month away! We are delighted to announce that several members of our field staff from Gaza, the West Bank and Jordan will be in attendance, as well as other special invited guests.

Join us for a dinner program and networking reception that offers a rare opportunity to hear directly from the people in the field who are making a difference every single day.   Some of our featured speakers include:

  Dr. Ghassan Abu Sitteh, a renowned Palestinian surgeon from the American University of Beirut Hospital who recently returned from Gaza. Dr. Abu Sitteh will recount his work with UPA to stock Al Awda hospital during the Great March of Return, thereby ensuring that the hospital could provide the best possible care to wounded protesters.

  Mr. Halim Halabi
a member of UPA’s international Advisory Council currently living in Gaza who will give a first-hand account of life in the battered Strip and speak to how UPA’s Small Business Development Program is providing opportunity and cultivating hope.

 Ms. Nisreen Abu AlShaikh
UPA’s programs coordinator in Jordan, who will describe her visits to little-known Palestinian refugee camps and the work UPA does to meet these refugees’ most urgent needs.
