Free medicines save lives in Gaza.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to those of you who have already donated to our spring campaign. The focus of this campaign has been on helping Palestinian parents take better care of their families.

If you have not had a chance to donate yet, please do so now.  Your support today is so critical.

One year ago, Palestinians dodged bullets and tear gas canisters from Israeli forces at the Gaza border. The situation today is no different.

With your support, in 2018, we were able to distribute over $30 million in pharmaceuticals and hospital consumables to our partners in Gaza—for your compassion, we are forever grateful. Your continued commitment allows us to provide Palestinians with on-going access to free medicines that help casualties of violence and cure basic ailments such as the common cold.

Your gift today will help us continue to provide a basic human right: the right to medical care.

Your donation can help Palestinians like Dalia, a mother of two from Gaza, who usually relies on home remedies when her children are ill. Her husband is unemployed, and her family’s resources are scarce, but when funds are available, Dalia purchases the cheapest medicine she can find at her local pharmacy.  Doctor’s visits and prescriptions are beyond her means.

Dalia is so busy running her household that she often neglects to care for herself. She recently contracted a severe infection that left her with a sore throat and fever and eventually infected her son.

“I don’t like to rely on antibiotics, but I had no choice this time,” said Dalia. Families of very limited means, such as Dalia’s, cannot afford antibiotics and therefore often suffer from lingering illnesses. With your support, UPA’s regular shipments of pharmaceuticals to Gaza bring relief to Dalia, her son and many like them by providing much needed free medications.

Healthcare is a basic human right. The slightest escalation in violence can quickly deplete the inventory of a hospital in Gaza.

A donation today will ensure that parents like Dalia can keep their families healthy and that hospitals are ready to respond to emergencies.

With gratitude,
